I’m running for St. Jude!

Please donate and help me reach my goal!

It’s time to start running again. Fall is nearly upon us and the evenings here in hot San Fernando Valley are starting to become comfortably cool — cool enough to put on my Bluetooth headphones, pop open my Audible app, and slip on my Brooks Adrenalines to run the evenings away. I’m getting excited to run another race and hopefully find myself running yet another LA Marathon (#lamarathon2019)!

It’s also time to give back. So I’m going to start running for charity. My first official run of the fall will be the Rock n’ Roll Las Vegas half marathon. This time however, instead of paying the normal fees to run, I’ve decided to do a bit more. I’ll donate my registration fee to St. Jude’s and then try my best to raise at least another $400!

I’m choosing to run for more than myself. I’m using my running to help save kids’ lives by fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as I train. I’m running for kids who might be too sick to run today, but who could one day be running alongside me because the money I raised helped find a cure for childhood cancer.

  • Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
  • Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.

Please donate and help me reach my goal!
